Can we live completely free from sin?
May 3rd, 2012 by

These are questions aked by a listener to The Logos Live…
You spoke about God recognizing sincerity of hearts, looking at our
motives or intentions. He honors that… With that said, is it possible to
become perfected now in this life? Can we live completely free from sin?
Your thoughts..

WHEN DID JESUS DIE?
Apr 4th, 2012 by

As we enter the Easter season and look forward to reflecting on Christ’s death and resurrection… have we ever wondered when did Jesus really die? I know that we have been made to believe he died of Good Friday, but it that really true? It id is true, how do we reconcile Matt. 12:40? “For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

That was Jesus comparing his death burial and resurrection to Jonah, three days and three nights in the grave…how do you reconcile three days and three nights from Friday-to Sunday morning?

HE DIED THAT YOU MIGHT LIVE
Apr 2nd, 2012 by

As we celebrate this season, let’s remember the central theme: Christ came to earth as God in the flesh to offer his life for your sins and redemption. While many are focusing on things of choice, the believers ought to remember 2000 years ago, about this time, Christ went to the cross to restore the life lost in the garden of Eden through the failure of Adam. So as we go to church on Sunday, remember that the resurrection matters. All that we preach and believe depended on Christ coming back from the grave. So while some are looking for eggs and rabits, we will remember the LORD our GOD!

Why is There Constant Conflict in the Church?
Feb 7th, 2012 by

One would think that the (so called) people of God who are called Christians “little Christs” would reflect his character in the things we do: unfortunately, an unacceptable number of us are problem to others and to God’s kingdom. What is the conclusion? Most of us are like babes…we are immature, unstable, heady, high-minded, and selfish. We can’t guard our tongues, and cause lots of offense. On the other hand, many of us are too shaky, we are rattled by every wind that blows our way. What are your thoughts and observation?

Coming Boldly to the Throne of Grace
Sep 15th, 2011 by

Paul expressed in Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” what is the emphasis in this verse to you, and why? What appeals to us more in this verse? Sure we have been there many times. I would like to know what you think of this verse in general. Should be interesting…blessings as we discuss it.

The Absence of the Spirit’s Power
Sep 22nd, 2010 by

I wonder, with all the excitement, the dramatization, the holy dances and speaking in the “heavenly language” as some call it: where is the real manifest power of the Holy Spirit? The churches are filled with great music, advance technology and all the amenities that one can ask for but seem to lack one thing: the transforming power of the Spirit. As I observe today we seem to be settled with a large creative and innovative worship team…choir, programs and an unending desire for more social programs. Where are the voices crying for the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Where are the lives transformed by the Holy Spirit. Where are the days when we were coming to God’s house looking for and experiencing the manifestation of the Spirit? I am thinking of those days when we would examine ourselves before we walk into the house of God because there was a good chance we would be rebuked by the Spirit. It is no wonder we can’t hold our marriages, no wonder our people are not committed to the Lord. No wonder there is stagnation in the overall  growth and maturity of Christians today. I am breaking the ice here…this one is huge! Until He is welcomed back into our services and is allowed to have His way: the church will move from weak to feeble. It is the main reason even leaders are not living up to God’s requirement. OH COME HOLY SPIRIT!!!!  LET”S TALK! We will add Scripture later…

Family in spiritual crisis
Aug 3rd, 2010 by

It is obvious that the family is God’s perfect plan, not only to replenish the earth, but for the building of his kingdom. It is no small reason that the devil makes it his prime target. Unfortunately there are too many of us who have become victims of his craftiness. One of the reasons is, he is so cunning that we do not recognize him as the culprit, rather we prey on each other and leave him rejoicing.

There is a family crisis in the church, and it is spreading like wildfire. Parents and children, siblings with siblings, and spouses…it is however a sign of the last days.  I have talked about some of the reasons why marriages are falling apart: my #1 reason is that we have a serious spiritual problem, one that is not recognized or talked about in counseling. It’s either one or both parties are in spiritual crisis. One might ask, how are marital problems stem from spiritual problem? Here is the answer, when we are submitted to Christ and are guided by his words, when our lives are shaped by them, when our hearts are Christlike, everything about us will be different. It will affect what we do and how we react to what happens to us. If our spouses cant trust us, there is a spiritual problem. If we can’t trust ourselves there is a spiritual problem…if we are not honest, there is a spiritual problem. If we are not submissive to each other we have a major spiritual problem.

It doesn’t matter how strong we feel in our faith…if we don’t know how to speak to, react to, or control ourselves: there is a real spiritual problem. By now you get where I am going. Then there is our pride and ego that continue to destroy us slowly… Do you know why we don’t submit? It hurts our ego and our pride. We believe if we submit (male, or female) we will be taken advantage of, or will appear stupid or soft. I could go on and on but I would like to generate a discussion to see if we can help ourselvesbecome more like Christ and act more like him. I wouldn’t even touch the unforgiveness issue because that is one of the greatest monsters in our lives. Even though we are constantly before the Lord beseeching him for mercy, we exhibit little for those in our lives, and in the church.

By the way, when the family malfunctions it grossly affects the church, and the kingdom of God. It’s no wonder the church is not impacting the world as it should. The light is dim, and in some places gone out. When the divorce rate in the church is equal to, or surpasses that of the world you realize we are in an epidemic. What’s your thought? Let’s talk!

How do you see the church today?
Aug 2nd, 2010 by

I really would like to get a feedback on where you see the church today as it pertains to good spiritual standing, and our focus on the Lord or return of Christ?  How do you see the curch when it comes to a real knowledge of God’s word? I think we have lost our sense of purpose and destiny. It is my fear that we are gradually (on a general view) becoming like the Laodecian church that Christ rebuked in Revelation 3. I also notice that many have developed itching ears and will not submit to sound doctrine. As a result many are falling into apostasy. What is your opinion, are you comfortable with where the church is today? Why, or why not?

Hello everyone!
Aug 1st, 2010 by

Hello everyone, good day and greetings to you! I hope the grace and blessings of the Lord are shining on you and yours. I invite you to join me in the quest to start a conversation about the church in the last days. To talk about things that affect the family…to get a better understanding of the Scriptures, and to establish a platform where we can come from time to time to post our own thoughts, and also respond to and make comments on other posts. May God bless you as we continue this pursuit. Will you join me? If you are concerned about the lack of spiritual development, and the absence of the dialogue concerning the Lord’s return: let’s begin to talk…unless we begin a conversation we will gradually, and constantly fall into an apostate church and lose our way.
