DECREE AND DECLARE! THE NEW PHENOMENON!
Is it just me, or there are others out there who observe how catchy these lines that cause a new sensation to be pervading our conversation? Some of us have become so enamored with catchy lines and empty phrases that we just go ahead and use them without consideration, just fascination. The new phenomenon is “I DECREE AND DECLARE!” Let me suggest to some enthusiasts who like to grab on to catchy phrases, make sure you fully understand terms and usages before you become indulge…because well thinking people look at you with less than you would wish. Take for instance the word “DECREE” Merriam Webster says it’s “1. An order usually having the force of law 2. A religious ordinance enacted by council or titular head 3. A foreordaining will 4. A judicial decision of the Roman emperor 5. A judicial decision especially in an equity or probate court”. So when ordinary people get up and making DECREES AND DECLARATIONS it suggests certain level of ignorance, and ignorance breeds arrogance. If you have no power to enact, you have none to decree, let’s make that clear. LET THE CONVERSATION BEGIN! Maybe you have a different opinion of the subject, share it with me and others. Maybe I need some guidance. What’s your thought?
APOSTLES AND PROPHETS EVERYWHERE
Everywhere you look and listen these days there is a new apostle and prophet. One wonders what is the driving force behind this. For many it’s nothing more than status. For others it for filthy lucre. Many doesn’t even know Christ personally and intimately. There is no life changing message, nothing about redemption, reconciliation, sanctification, and nothing preparing people for Christ’s return. God gave the church apostles and prophets for the work of ministry, for the prefecting of the saints, and the edifying of the body of Christ, but very few even know the message of salvation, let alone to teach it…Beware Christians, keep your eyes open church…there is garbage everywhere and it is spreading like wild fire… I really wonder where these pop-up apostles and prophets come from… Where is the breeding ground? Certainly not at the feet of Jesus, nor on the grounds of humility. We have seen a lot of exaltation comint to abase, but God help us to wait on our ministry if we have one.

WILLINGLY IGNORANT
The Bible speaks about one being “willingly ignorant” in 2 Peter 3:5, but what does that mean? For one to be willingly ignorant, one need to deny the knowlodge of something he knows, in order not be held accountable for his negative reaction to it. This we see among the so called atheists who want to deny the existence of God. The only way one could truly deny the existence of God, is if he creates himself, or someone made him. But the truth of God’s word states in Romans 1:19-20 ” Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse”. I will take God’s word above any so-called atheists, or scientist. As Isaiah ask, “Whose report do you believe” I will believe the word of the Lord. I therefore conclude that there are no real atheists, God has put in every man a spirit, intelligence, and an inner understanding of his supreme being and power. Some turn that recognition of a higher power into worshiping some thing, or other creature, making themselves “Willingly ignorant”.
THE LOST KINGDOM MINDSET…!
What has happened to the kingdom mindset that was so prevalent in the 60s-90s? The daily conversations were focused on good Christian living, while earnestly looking for the return of Christ for His church. I am constantly looking and listening to hear somebody take up the unpopular conversation of the return of Christ, or the rapture of the church. We have become so enamored with the world and its pleasure, social media, fun and games, and fleshly gratifications that we seem to have simply forget who we are. As the Apostle Luke says, “Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drenkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares”.
It appears that we have completely lost our kingdom mindset and therefore lost our anticipation: which results in our lack of conversation. The truth is, if there is no expectation, there will be no anticipation…and where there is no anticipation there is no need to have a conversation. It is very sad that even the so called born again Christians find almost everything to talk about except encouraging each other to watch and be ready for the return of Christ…. I wonder if anyone will even take me up on this thought… What do you think…?
ANIMALS ENTERING THE ARK
We have heard it preached for decades that there was one pair of all animals/creatures that went into the ark… I wonder what is your thought on this subject. Is that true or not? What is your argument for or against this suvject… I would appreciate your comments on this topic with your Scripture proof…We want to make this blog a place of substantive and educating discussion… Tell me what you have heard, and what you know to be true.
WHY ARE WE MORE INTERESTED IN SPORTS AND PLEASURE THAN THE THINGS OF GOD?
It is quite clear how enthusiastic we are about sports, social issues, politics, worldly atractions, and things that please the flesh… However, a gr eat majority of us are far removed from the discussion of things that include Christian edification, moral and ethical values, and pointers to the coming of the Lord. Unfortunately, the Bible tells us to expect these days. How can we change the conversation in order to get Christians refocused on the things that will positively affect and prepare us for the coming of Christ? As we read in 2Tim. 3:4-5 “…lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away”. What are your thoughts on the issue?
Can we live completely free from sin?
These are questions aked by a listener to The Logos Live…
You spoke about God recognizing sincerity of hearts, looking at our
motives or intentions. He honors that… With that said, is it possible to
become perfected now in this life? Can we live completely free from sin?
Your thoughts..
WHEN DID JESUS DIE?
As we enter the Easter season and look forward to reflecting on Christ’s death and resurrection… have we ever wondered when did Jesus really die? I know that we have been made to believe he died of Good Friday, but it that really true? It id is true, how do we reconcile Matt. 12:40? “For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”
That was Jesus comparing his death burial and resurrection to Jonah, three days and three nights in the grave…how do you reconcile three days and three nights from Friday-to Sunday morning?
HE DIED THAT YOU MIGHT LIVE
As we celebrate this season, let’s remember the central theme: Christ came to earth as God in the flesh to offer his life for your sins and redemption. While many are focusing on things of choice, the believers ought to remember 2000 years ago, about this time, Christ went to the cross to restore the life lost in the garden of Eden through the failure of Adam. So as we go to church on Sunday, remember that the resurrection matters. All that we preach and believe depended on Christ coming back from the grave. So while some are looking for eggs and rabits, we will remember the LORD our GOD!
Why is There Constant Conflict in the Church?
One would think that the (so called) people of God who are called Christians “little Christs” would reflect his character in the things we do: unfortunately, an unacceptable number of us are problem to others and to God’s kingdom. What is the conclusion? Most of us are like babes…we are immature, unstable, heady, high-minded, and selfish. We can’t guard our tongues, and cause lots of offense. On the other hand, many of us are too shaky, we are rattled by every wind that blows our way. What are your thoughts and observation?
